What is the Gokhale Method?
The Gokhale Method is an innovative, posture-based nonsurgical approach to treating and preventing back and neck pain founded by Esther Gokhale (Go-clay), whose own challenging journey with back pain led her to investigate posture as a treatment. Our approach looks to the primal posture of non-industrialized cultures worldwide to re-learn healthy, sustainable posture and movement for sitting, standing, sleeping, bending, and walking. We combine hands-on instruction with practical advice for incorporating ancestral posture into our modern daily lives and have brought many people life-changing results.
Our techniques teach you how to decompress the spinal column, reducing pressure on discs and nerves and improving or eliminating a wide range of spine-related ailments. By gently realigning the musculoskeletal system, the Gokhale Method helps you learn to improve your quality of life by reducing or eliminating joint pain, preventing joint degeneration, increasing stamina, flexibility, and energy, reducing stress, and improving circulation and breathing, helping you look and feel more confident.
