Struggling to Make Improvements

Hi Esther, Sorry to bother you.

I seem to be making no improvements, which is scaring me.

Keep getting the feeling I'm one person the book cannot help cure, I'm still having Sciatica Every Day.

My Main Problems seem to be

1) When I stretch sit, I dont feel anything, I cannot stretch my spine , It's either locked together or I'm not strong enough. When I sit I feel like I'm Twisted and my Big Toes Go Numb, Or Sometimes my Legs just Sting. I've got a towel on the back of my chair but It keeps getting flattened and isn't offering much support. I almost want to break my lower spine so that It will stretch more.

2) Stretch Lying Hurts, I can stretch lie for about 30 seconds before I start getting Sciatica, I've made sure to put the pillow under my shoulders, I have a huge pillow under my knee's, I'm digging my elbows in and stretching, but it doesn't seem to stretch me very much.

3) I wake up with my lower back in Agony, I've never had back pain before, Just Sciatica.

It has only happened recently since I started Stretch Lying, Is this a good sign? Sometimes I just get backpain instead of Sciatica, So I'm hoping this is a good sign, as with before I just had Sciatica 24/7.

Thanks Esther

This doesn't sound good. Sounds like your back muscles are in spasm and you are wrestling with them. i think you need professional help to navigate this situation. It's good to feel less sciatica, but not more back pain. It sounds like stretchlying and stretchsitting are not working because your back muscles are too tense to respond. Maybe you are overdoing the stretching or maybe they are tight because of the underlying issues. In any case, it sounds like it is going to take some professional skill to get you out of this. Don't give up, but get help.

I tried a hot bath and lying on an exercise ball for 10 mins and it seems to have loosened me up.

How much would it cost to see you in person if I were to fly down for a week? :)
