Hello Liza - When you are sweeping or mopping, it's helpful to use Inner Corset to keep your spine elongated and stable as you move your torso and arms.  Since you'll be looking downward, you may find a little Hiphinge while sweeping works well to help you keep your neck and head aligned with your back.  It may make it easier to keep good posture if you generally hold the broom closer to your body rather than extend your arms farther out.  When you get to the big bend at the end holding your dustpan, take the opportunity to do a beautiful Hiphinge!

Thanks for your question! It's great that you are looking for ways to incorporate the Gokhale Method principles into your daily activities.

Doreen
