Anterior Tilted Pelvis
I have a very anterior tilted pelvis...it seems most of your stuff is geared at tilting the pelvis....is this stuff ok to do for someone with ATP Also I have a Tempurpedic memory foam bed....are those ok or would I be better getting a regular mattress Thanks for your help

Anterior tilted pelvis: this is not a problem. If your pelvis is truly too tipped, you'll back it up some and if it just right, you'll just skip some steps  and go on to follow the other directions. In my experience, however, often people who think they are too tipped are actually swayed + tucked. It is easy to mistake a sway for an anterior pelvic tilt - both send your bottom back - it's the location of the curve that is critical. Tipped pelvis gives you a curve very low down in your spine (at L5-S1); a sway gives you a curve higher up in the lumbar spine. If it is a sway you have, you may still need to work on tipping your pelvis forward, but not till after you straighten out your sway. Memory foam mattress: I recommend a medium firm mattress that conforms to some degree to your body. This is also what the statistics point to as the best kind of bed. Memory foam can be very comfortable for side sleeping because it conforms a great deal. Unfortunately, for back sleeping, it lets your body sink in to the bed a bit too much and leaves your shoulders rounded forward. When you stretchlie (either on your back or side), it makes you tolerate a much wider variety of mattresses. So begin by learning how to do that and maybe you don't need a new mattress.

Hi Esther,

I was wondering how to tell the difference between a sway and anterior tipped pelvis.. When I do the rib anchor in your book, I feel that I am flattening out the curve I should have in my lower spine, but perhaps I am flattening out my sway? I'm not sure how to tell. Thank you!

Without looking at you, I would bet that you are likely flattening out your sway, which is a good thing.  Also notice if your pelvis stayed put when you did this, that is another good sign.
