Hey all, I am new here and I just got Esther's book, love it so far. I am a little confused on to how many times a day to do each lesson? For example strechsitting - - How long should you stretch sit for, how many times? Do you perform each step once? Also do you stretch sit everytime before sitting down for an extended period of time?Need some help please

Sincerely,

Newbie Mike

Hi Mike,

Great question.  Ideally, the Gokhale Method will get integrated into your life and you will be in good posture for all of your activities.  Of course, easing into any new habit is best so that you don't feel overwhelmed.  However, I encourage you to think of this not so much as little "exercises" to do throughout the day, but rather a lifestlye change.  For example: If you sit for 4 hours a day, try and Stretchsit/Stacksit.  If you sleep for 6-8 hours a night, why not Stretchlie? If you are active, why not engage your Inner Corset while working out?  If you are walking, you may as well walk well and Glidewalk.  You get the picture....

I hope this is helpful to you!

Warmly,

Charlene Hannibal
