Over anteverting the pelvis ?

Hello everyone I have a question regarding the pelvis. Is it possible to over anteverte the pelvis? I also have another question regarding lordosis. If someone has lordosis would a rib anchor take care of this issue?

thanks

Hello, thank you for your question.  It is possible to over antevert the pelvis.  This can be done when standing for someone who over arches the back or does certain physical exercises with this kind of posture.  I have seen people who lift heavy upper body weights that over antevert the pelvis often.  The images in the book can help you see some differences in spinal shape.

Yes, if someone has lordosis, a rin anchor can help lesson the curve, depending on the degree of the lordosis.  The key is to start with a rib anchor, strengethen appropriate back and core muscles, and also to engage the inner corst to lengthen.  These will all take some time and practice.  I suggest using a certified Gokhale Method instructor to assist you with the proper form and care.  Best of luck to you.
