Countweight for Cushion
In the video on the Stretchsit cushion page, it seems that there is some sort of counterweight holding the cushion at the top of the folding chair. It turns out that I have exactly the same chair at home, and can't get the cushion to just stay at the top. I know Esther has said that you can just wedge the cushion behind, but I find that its difficult to get a stretch without it being anchored like it is in the car. Is there in fact a counterweight in this video? Are there any reccomended techniques for attaching the stretchsit cushion to such a folding chair or an office chair?

The Stretchsit cushion is not counterweighted in the video - the strap is just looped around the back of the chair and hooked on to the bottom of the Stretchsit cushion itself. That holds it onto the folding chair well. In other chairs, like an office chair: If it's a fabric surface, the fabric of the cushion against fabric chair backs create enough friction that it just holds itself there when your body weight is against it (this wouldn't work with wood or leather, for example). Some people have gotten creative and used bungee cords or exercise straps to fasten the cushion to other chairs as well.

The extension strap that comes with the Stretchsit cushion allows the strap to loop around the backs of some office chairs. If you got the Stretchsit cushion when it first came out, you may not have received an extension strap with it - if you need one, call our Palo Alto office.

I just completed the course with Esther in Seattle. I'm also working to find ways to make the cushion work. In your response above you say "hooked on to the bottom of the Stretchsit cushion itself." I don't see a way to attach anything to the BOTTOM of the cushion. Am I missing something? I did get an extension strap. I understand how to stretch sit and did it comfortably in class. But so far at home I haven't found the right positions and accomodations.

The strap can hook around the bottom of the cushion itself, as shown in the photos above, on certain chairs.
