Sway in back

I have tried to follow the instructions set out in the book but for some reason when I have gotten into the stretchsitting position I do not feel straight and can feel and see a sway throughout the back and I feel a stretch throughout the mid back rather than in the lower parts. I do not think I am thrusting my chest out because I am curving forward as specified. Also I can not detect any pinch of skin. Anything I could obviously be doing wrong? Thanks.

If you sit too far back in the chair (say through the empty back of a folding chair) it could produce a sway.

The main lengthening sensation will be in the midback where you contact the chair, though the whole back is benefitting.

To feel a pinch of skin, find the contact point where you would normally hit the back of the chair, then aim 1/2 to 1 inch higher for your point of "attachment" as you hinge back.  This should help.
