Mayan Hammock?

I have recently been reading about the postural advantages of sleeping in a Mayan style hammock.  What are your options on this?

I have been meaning to ask the same thing after reading this article:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2011/06/21/137300311/why-hammocks-make-sleep-easier-deeper?ps=cprs

The best sleep I can remember used to be in a motorboat...

Since I am still struggling to get adequate sleep I'd be very interested in your thoughts.

Mayan-style hammock help to fall asleep faster. This may be because your body is already in the best position to sleep. Improve blood flow and circulation and reduce joint pressure.

This is a really interesting topic. Thanks for contributing, Erika. There is definitely something soothing about a hammock. Maintaining a J-spine may be a little tricky, but I think if you position your body on an angle (rather than along the midline of the hammock) and perhaps use the aid of a small folded hand towel just above your sacrum to help you maintain anteversion, it could be very comfortable. I love sleeping outdoors and feeling so connected to nature :)

Best wishes,
