Anyone know about Zhan zhuang, it seems very similar is goal to stackstanding, corset stuff.
you assume a pose that you maintain for a length of time, and this improves circulation, lengthens the spine, improves posture, etc
It's the basic training of internal kung fu

I do not have training in Zhan Zhuang, so I did some reading on it. Most sources describe it as upright and relaxed postures in the family of Qigong and internal martial arts.
I didn't find any details on spinal alignment with Zhan Zhuang.
In the Gokhale Method, a key principal is having a "J-spine" in all everday life activities. We teach this postural aligment using the terms with specific techniques in stretchsitting & lying; stacksitting, and tallstanding, and hip-hinging. Length, strength, reshaping and healthy movement are our goals.
