Hi Esther, and thanks for answering my previous question!
Another thing I was wondering about is what is your opinion about sitting with one leg over the other, like this:
(just the legs, not the rest)
I heard some people say this is not good for the back and hips. I that true?

Almost everyone can cross their ankles and keep their torso steady. It takes more flexibility in the external hip rotators to cross your ankle over the opposite knee or to cross one thigh over the other without twisting your hips and back. If you don't have the flexibility to keep your back steady while crossing the legs, I recommend not doing it.

How do I check if back is not getting twisted when I cross my legs? Is it by putting my hand on my lower back and checking the groove?
