I assume by adjustable you mean the head elevates and or the foot can elevate? Recliners type motion is fine if you can still stretch lie going down. These beds are great for reading or watching TV but I would encourage you to be flat when ready for sleep (either stretch lying on your back or stretch lying on your side).
