Stomach Sleeping

Hi, you have advised to place a pillow under the stomach when sleeping. Is there any other tips you can give me when I sleep this way. I have sleeped on my back as you explain in your book. But my sleep is not good. Thanks

Hi there,

While I would encourage you to keep trying to Stretchlie on your back or side, there are a few things to help with chronic stomach sleepers.  Firstly, make sure the pillow that is under you is mostly under the hips/stomach.  If it comes up too high on the front of your ribs it will force you into a sway.  Also, the pillow for your head should be quite thin.  Place the side of your face on the edge of the pillow so the head can turn down toward the bed on a slope, rather than craned all the way to one side.  The little slope will cause less of a twist to the neck but enough elevation that you can breathe easily.

Enjoy!
