Hip anteverted?
Hi Esther,

A quick question for once:  should the hips be always anteverted in stretchsitting or is the most important thing the lengthening of the spine?

Thanks for all your helpful replies to me in the past few weeks.

Good question. In fact, you don't want the pelvis to be maximally anteverted. The guideline I use is "put your bottom back in the chair," which results in a mild anteversion or in any case prevents a retroverted pelvis. If you antevert a great deal, you will probably have used up whatever flexibility you have at L5-S1 and then be swaying when you reach your back to contact the backrest.
