I got the 8 steps book and I have been attempting stretchsitting and stretchlyimg.

 

but I have issues with chronic tension in my back, chest, shoulders.

 

ami right to assume that if for example my back is stiff then stretchsitting for example won't be effective cause how can there be any traction while my back muscles are actively pulling together like a bow.

 

so in my case doing feldenkrais awareness through movement lessons have been more comfortable to do because I can assume a position sitting or lying that has "slack", as in no traction or pulling anywhere and within that I can do the lesson and my back often becomes more relaxed.

 

maybe after that stretch sitting can work.
