Wobble Stools

I am curious to know what the Gokhale Method Pros think about wobble stools. Perhaps they could help a person find just the right angle for stacksitting? Here is an example: https://www.amazon.com/Standing-Sitting-Perching-Ergonomic-Computer/dp/B00HCLJDSK

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for asking this question!  I'd never seen a wobble stool before.  At first glance, it looks like it could be a smaller and less expensive option than our "Pain Free Chair" for stacksitting.  Of course, it doesn't offer the option of stretchsitting, which can be very therapeutic to most of us.   As in all chairs, it would require some mindfulness.   One could find a good stacksitting angle on it, such as the picture of the lady in the black dress on the Amazon link.  Or they could continue to tuck their pelvis, as in the first three images, and round their back bending over as in the image of the woman reaching to the floor.

Hope that helps,

Thank you Abeja! These kinds of chairs are used as accomodations for children with conditions like ADHD in school, which is why I know about them :).

Brilliant!  Does it seem to help them?

I think so, in the sense that it allows them more opportunities to move without disrupting class, but I don't know if there are any studies proving their efficacy.
