Greetings,
I'm planning to purchase the chair and I can't decide whether to get the foot ring. Do people generally find it to be more comfortable, or do most users forgo the foot ring?
Also, if I get the foot ring and I don't like it, can I remove it from the chair?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
Some of our clients prefer to add the foot ring to their Gokhale chair. The foot ring is located just above the wheels, this foot ring provides you with a perch for your feet. It will not inhibit the chair’s portability.
We do not recommend to remove the foot ring because it might damage the chair if not done properly and can cause the warranty to be voided.

Hi Chris,
I got the footring, and looking back on it now, I think I personally could have saved the money. I use my chair under a kitchen table usually, and there is not enough height under the table for me to put my feet on the ring- my knees bump the underside of the table when I do. I think maybe if a person was working at a higher desk the foot ring might come in handy more.

I love the chair but could have saved $ not bying the foot ring. There is no information on it, how to use it. Maybe a video on the Gokhale youtube channel would help people make the decision better. If I would buy this chair again I would not get the foot ring.

Thanks for the feedback. I will mention to Esther about the possibility of a video discussing the foot ring. It is important that your feet be supported by something while sitting, so if you have a high desk and short legs, you may want the ring so that your feet don't just dangle. I think most people get the chair without the ring.
