can my purse be the cause of one shoulder being lower than the other?

One of my shoulders is lower than the other. I was wondering if this could have been caused by my always hanging my (sometimes a bit heavy) purse on my left shoulder. Could it have been? If so, is this something that happens to a lot of other women? I imagine many others do the same thing....
