Pain
Thank you, Esther, I regained 5/16th of an inch by the end of your excellent course and see a more shallow groove at my L5-S1 spondy. You showed me how your back has totally returned to normal from a similar situation and I have a couple questions:
Were you able to do this without surgery?
Did you experience significant discomfort on your way to a more healthy spine? Thanks, Ann

All the changes in the contours of my spine came from the structural steps I describe in 8 Steps and teach in my course, not from surgery. I used to have a big and very stubborn sway in my lower back that I have entirely gotten rid of. The process was not uncomfortable or painful - on the contrary, it got rid of pain and discomfort. In general, this approach is not about going through pain - if you ever experience pain, try to understand why. Feeling "strange" or "awkward" is par for the course because you learn to do things very differently from the way you are used to doing them, but none of it should cause pain. (Note: you'll only feel "strange", you won't look "strange.")

I have backed off from the amount of stretch sitting and lying I'd been doing and my back is feeling a whole lot better. It was just too much of a good thing for me. I'm relieved to know that my path to wellness is going to be a comfortable one. Thank you.
