In this workshop, you’ll start to learn the why and the how of the Gokhale Method.

This 1-hour workshop will show you how to get started with the Gokhale Method and return to moving like you are meant to—free from pain. With simple adjustments to the way you stand, sleep, bend, and sit, you can transform your posture and address the cause of your back pain, not just the symptoms.  



“Several months ago, when I first heard about the Gokhale Method from a friend who is an occupational therapist, I considered taking one of the free classes to get a better idea of what it entailed. However, I kept putting it off thinking that I should wait until my back felt better. After all, how was I going to sit for an hour and a half in a classroom when I couldn’t even sit 10 minutes in my own home due to severe sciatica pain? Finally I decided to attend one of the free classes thinking that I would just stand in the back of the room if the pain became too intolerable. The instructor started us out by teaching the stretchsitting technique which, to my great surprise, was very comfortable for my back and leg. Your Teacher

Tegan Kahn's mother was in a serious car crash in the 1980s. She was in a coma for three days, and expected to be in pain for the rest of her life. One hour into the Gokhale Method Foundations course, she said "this is the longest I've sat without pain in 30 years." That’s when Tegan decided to train with Esther Gokhale to become a Gokhale Method teacher and share these life-changing techniques with others.

  • I attended a two days Gokhale Method course just over a month ago. I learnt so much about how important certain postures are. Tegan took photographs of each course participant before and after the course. These pictures showed how our postures have improved when applying the Gokhale Method.
