Facility Details: My office is on the second floor and there is no elevator, stairs only. I am fully vaccinated and paying close attention to news about the COVID-19 virus and would like to reassure you that I am taking sensible precautions as recommended by WHO, the CDC, and local authorities to keep our small gathering safe. 1. If you are sick, I ask that you contact me so I can transfer you to a future course. 2. Please come to class wearing freshly laundered clothes and having washed your hands. 3. We have a bathroom close by and have tissues and sanitizer in class to maintain a high level of hygiene. 4. Wear a face mask. 5. Keep in mind that the only hands on contact happens between the instructor and students ( with student's permission).
Parking Info: There is metered parking on Lincoln Ave and Paulina Street ( free on Sundays) and free parking on neighborhood streets. The "Permit Parking Only" applies only for the evenings when Cubs play night games. Good streets to park on: Newport, Roscoe, Paulina, Henderson and Ravenswood.
About this workshop
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to the why and the how of the Gokhale Method. Every workshop is different, in order to best address the attendees’ needs. Workshops often begin by showing you how to stretchsit. This is a way of sitting that puts your back in gentle traction, easing compression in your spine and stretching out tight or spasmed back muscles.
Other techniques taught in this workshop will begin to help you:
- Reduce or eliminate back, neck, muscle and joint pain
- Prevent muscle and joint degeneration and injury
- Increase your energy, stamina, and flexibility
- Reduce stress and improve your appearance
