I was introduced to the Gokhale Method after I underwent back surgery in May 2016. After doing the Foundations Course with Esther Gokhale I had follow-up sessions in Singapore with Meenakshi Harjai, a qualified Gokhale Method teacher, from time to time. I have been suffering from debilitating back pain for a few years and no treatment / therapy was having a long term effect. After I took the Gokhale Method Foundations Course and started incorporating it into my daily activities, I started feeling better slowly and steadily.

Gokhale Method helps in correcting our postures through precise instructions and explanation. Most of the techniques can be integrated into our daily routines and thus after some time they become part of our life. The last lesson revised techniques learned and holistically links them up to form a set of effective techniques in getting back the right postures our ancestors had before the industrial revolution.  Meenakshi is a good and friendly instructor in not just imparting the techniques concisely to us but also help us in identifying and resolving our posture problems.

I used to work all day in a hunched sitting position, which had made my posture quite bad. The course opened my eyes to all the ways I can support myself by correctly sitting, standing, and sleeping. Walking feels much better, and I get a good stretch each time I take a step.

Meenakshi was an excellent teacher, very perceptive, helpful, and insightful. 

Meenakshi is a very professional, yet friendly, humble & nurturing teacher. After each lesson, she leaves me looking forward to the next. I strongly recommend that you take an opportunity to do Individual work with her!
