Free Workshop

I just wanted to express my deep appreciation for the class this weekend. Although I know I have a long road ahead to correct my issues, I now feel I know how to do it, and I will! Sorry I had to leave early but I was late for another appointment.

I was in a restaurant with my husband last night, practicing my sitting, when all of a sudden I just felt like a queen. I was amazed and I'm looking forward to getting used to that!

Thank you again for putting on a great class this weekend. You provided so much information in a very easy to understand format. The hands-on was very effective and helped fine tune the different positions taught in the book. Essentially, you made everything from the book come to life and the repetition helped solidify to movements that lead to good posture.

I really enjoyed Amy's teaching approach, and I feel that with practice, my posture will improve quite considerably. I already feel much improved in the way I stand, walk, and lie down to sleep, and my upper back pain has lessened quite a bit. 

Amy Smith is a healer. In my book, that is the highest compliment one can earn. She is wise, kind, patient, direct, practical, helpful and has a sense of humor, on top of all that! Without Amy's guidance in learning the Gokhale Method in person, all with proper precautions against COVID-19 in place, I would have continued having debilitating back pain for the years to come. I will never be able to thank her enough.

I just completed the Foundations course with Amy E. Smith in South Carolina who was awesome in teaching to me the Gokhale method for all aspects of my posture! I bought the book (8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back) which was great, but I had difficulty learning and implementing all the posture instructions corrections on my own.

I recently took the Foundations course and received one-on-one instruction from Amy Smith in SC; she is a wonderful teacher of the Gokhale Method and I immensely enjoyed working with her.  Amy is very effective at instructing students on how to implement the techniques for proper sitting, walking, standing, lying and bending in an easy-to-follow manner.  She is supportive, enthusiastic and offers encouragement throughout the process.  I am confident that mastering this method through practice will be life-changing and I am so thankful to have had Amy as my teacher, coach and cheerleader!

I really enjoyed the Gokhale class and the personalized instruction! Your warm character and relatable teaching style were much appreciated. I saw the pragmatic nurse part of you because my daughter is like this too as a nurse (BSN). The Gokhale Method reminds me that we humans are indeed "wonderfully made."

The Ester Gokhale Method was no stranger to me. I bought her book some years back and  recently found an in person  course not too far away!  Amy Smith made room for me with the Foundations course which put words to action. Amy was relatable, methodical, patient and kind; hallmarks of a good teacher.  Taking the course in person was more beneficial to me as I’m more of a visual learner .  Seeing the nuances of movement  thru a skilled teacher made me feel more of a connection to my own posture.
