Esther Gokhale is incredibly patient in helping people in pain unlearn decades of bad habits and move from bad posture to body awareness. She brings her students a wealth of knowledge from decades of close observation of walking, standing, sitting, and lifting patterns (in contemporary populations all over the globe, as well as in books and art that point to a more aligned past). She also offers graduates access to regular online training and a library of helpful resources. Gokhale training is not just for people in pain, but for anyone with questions and curiosity about human movement.
About this workshop
As we welcome the New Year 2025, we invite you to take your posture journey to the next level. Practising the Gokhale Method is like peeling an onion–each layer reveals new "aha" moments uncovering new levels of ease and strength that bring you closer to feeling “at home” in your own body, fully supported by your natural J-spine.
We teach the Gokhale Method primarily to help people find relief from back pain. But there are some wonderful side benefits, too! In 2025 we challenge you to turn one year older but feel 10 years younger ;)

No one goes through a beginner Gokhale Method course without learning about the Inner Corset. In this Masterclass we will revisit finding your J-Spine in standing and add the new Gokhale Squeeze technique to your toolkit. The Gokhale Squeeze will increase your strength not only in your abs, but also in all the essential postural muscles of your body that tend to be weak.
