Women's Empowerment Through Posture

About this workshop

Women! In six one-hour sessions we will transform our posture to get to a new level of confidence, relaxation, comfort, and self awareness. We intend to shed damaging societal messaging about sitting up straight, tucking our pelvis, turning in our knees, and more, to empower ourselves in leading our best lives.

In this course, suitable for beginners and alumni alike. In addition to the emotional benefits, side benefits include having more energy, becoming more resistant to back pain and other musculoskeletal problems, and improving physical appearance.

Course Details:

  • Duration: 6 sessions
  • Class Length: 55 minutes
  • Maximum Class Size: 20 students
  • Led by two qualified Gokhale Method Teachers (for classes over 10 students)
  • Individualized feedback and posture correction during class (photo and video submissions encouraged)
  • Questions and Feedback between lessons via open channel with teacher and classmates

Your Teacher

Esther Gokhale (GO-clay) studied biochemistry at Harvard and Princeton and acupuncture at the San Francisco School of Oriental Medicine. After experiencing crippling back pain during her first pregnancy and unsuccessful back surgery, Gokhale began her lifelong crusade to vanquish back pain.
