Refresher

The Foundations Course was everything I was hoping for and so much more! Every step of the way was superbly modelled and explained. The start of my Gokhale Method journey has been just amazing. Lots to work on now and I am so excited by it all!

Really delighted with the improvement in my posture. I have been working hard on stretch-lying, stack-sitting, and hip-hinging and am noticing that my back feels straighter, stronger, and healthier. I think the benefits are filtering into other systems and even helping to improve my mental health, which is most welcome. Thank you, Clare, Esther, and all the team. 

I really enjoyed the course. You explained and demonstrated the principles so clearly and patiently. The weekend format allowed time to absorb interesting and complex information and you gave us space to work on our issues and begin to remodel habitual practices. I am so glad to have attended and I will definitely put my learning to good use. Thank you, Clare! 

Elements sessions are short, so, once you believe the method works, it’s all about the student ‘s fit with the teacher, the teacher’s excellence, and the student’s rigor. I was unlucky to be stricken with chikungunya [a tropical disease], which directly affects movement, at the outset of the course, and yet it forced me to be rigorous—so oddly may have helped my focus. Mostly, I was lucky to have Clare Chapman as my teacher through that very difficult period. Clare is the bomb (which, in case you’re unfamiliar with the slang, is the highest of compliments)
