making own strethsit cushion?

So I have tried using a towel (various sizes) on the back of my chairs and carseat but can't seem to 'hook' my upper back onto it.  Would it be a good idea to buy some type of friction pad (kind of like those friction nubs on the actual streatsit cushion) and 'hook' onto that?  It's been very difficult to stretch my back with just a towel.

The Stretchsit cushion is usually the best bet for the car since you can loop it right over your headrest and the sticky nubs are hard to beat.  That being said, sometimes lining a towel with something sticky (I've seen people use yoga mat material or even that sticky/foamy shelf liner material) can help you get that "hitch" that you want.  Also, wearing just one layer of clothing or even pulling your shirt up and hooking your skin can be useful.

I hope this is helpful to you!

Warmly,
