Tallstanding never really clicked until recently for me. I think that I really had to get glidewalking down before I really understood tallstanding. I'm not talking about remembering all of the steps -- kidney bean feet, little squat, etc... -- I mean more the integration side of the matter. I could remember to do all of the steps but each time I moved, I would have to start from the ground up and fix everything.
I started to do a squat before glidewalking and really focusing on trying to preserve it while I walked, which really put my glutes in a powerful position, and I found that when I stopped walking, I was already 'tallstanding'. Two other things that really contributed were using my feet with each step, which meant that they were already kidney bean shape when I stopped, and keeping my weight on my heels when I walked, which led to a much more natural feel to my movements.
For me, this is a huge breakthrough and I feel empowered to move about.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'd love to hear. If not, try it out, and let me know.
