My feet

I was wondering whether anyone could offer me any help. These are my feet. I am only twenty one, and the collapsed arch on my left foot (the image is inverted) is causing me all sorts of problem. I have tried doing the exercises in the book, but I cannot get in my foot in the position to actiavte the arch. It seems that the base of the big toe doesnt want to stay on the ground when the arch fires. Has anyone seen anything like this before, and if so, what is to be done?

You should check this site out: http://www.easyvigour.net.nz/casestudy/h_posttibialtendonitis.htm
Also, there is an article here: http://www.doyoga.com/a_yp_articles/Y+5_08_arches.pdf

Here is my problem, and maybe Esther can comment on this. I can do those exercises listed on the site for my left foot, but the foot itself is literally umable to form a kidney bean shape. When the foot is in alignment with the ankle, the medial edge of the foot, I guess the first metatarsal, is elevated. When doing anykind of exercise therefore, I am constantly trying to balance on the outside edge of the foot when I am in proper alignment, as the inside of the upper foot will not touch down. Is there anyway to resolve this without surgery.

I recommend working on your feet with your hands and with tennis balls, superballs and other implements. It's tricky to describe what you want to do. I'll arrange a teleseminar on this topic -easier to show this with video, slides, chat room and audio back and forth which we have just started doing through Webex. How does that sound?
