Parking Info: On street parking is available Sundays, however Hampstead is popular so allow time for finding a space or park near a Northern line tube where parking is more readily available. About this workshop

The Foundations Course is a core offering of the Gokhale Method. In six 90-minute lessons, you can change your habits efficiently and profoundly through a combination of verbal explanation, visual materials, and gentle hands-on guidance from a qualified Gokhale Method teacher. All qualified Gokhale Method teachers are personally trained by Esther Gokhale.

Learning stretch laying on the back and side using the pillows you have at home is ideal, but if carrying pillows and a yoga mat across town is not convenient just let me know and I will bring pilllows & mats.

John is an experienced yoga teacher, with a scientific background in psychology and IT. After 20 years of chronic, seemingly intractable back pain, he discovered the Gokhale Method and travelled to India and observed the pain-free, natural posture and movement of local, working people – the founding principle of the method. 

Having realised the profound healing qualities of the method for his own back pain, John is inspired as a Gokhale Method teacher to share this freedom.
