Bachata

About this workshop

Reclaim your birthright of grace and ease and master your own body in our new alumni-exclusive course "Gokhale Dance: Bachata".

Bachata dancing originated in the Dominican Republic and later evolved as it spread across the globe. The style is characterized by fluid and fun movements which require great control over your body. The better your ability to move body parts in isolation, the more easily you can fine-tune your posture. Over the course of 6 lessons you will develop these movement skills as you learn the basics of Bachata dancing.

You don’t need any dance experience, a partner, or even a sense of rhythm. This class is for any alumnus who wants to enhance their coordination, learn to dance, or just have a little fun.

If you like our daily 1-2-3 Move dance parties, you’ll love these dedicated and structured lessons that take your dancing to a new level. Courses consist of a maximum of 20 students, which allows for more individual feedback.

Take your posture beyond sitting and standing with "Gokhale Dance: Bachata".

Bachata moves include some controlled swaying, tucking and rounding of the spine. If you have acute back pain, our Gokhale Elements Course or an online Follow-Up 1:1 is recommended.
